Peter Keizer, Life on large feet: Solo Show
Past exhibition
Overview
Peter Keizer's world is one of childhood memories, like a sunny afternoon in a field of flowers, like a dog running with delight. "Lie down on the grass and look up at the trees: if you have a young mind, you'll see what I've painted," says the Dutch artist, who graduated from the Rijksakademie and the Royal College of Arts over thirty years ago. In his unique work, Peter Keizer uses oil paint directly from the tube, giving a sculptural aspect to his paintings and a pictorial aspect to his sculptures. For his solo show at the gallery, we are very pleased to be exhibiting his recent work, in which nature tends towards abstraction, as well as older works with a naïve, figurative spirit.
